August 27 Chery Technology Inc. of Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. and Taiwan’s BenQ Group The BenQ Materials Co., Ltd. signed the agreement. The two sides will set up a joint venture, cooperative R & D, production and automotive lithium battery separator to co-development the new energy battery material market.
According to the both man at the wheel, lithium battery separator technology is one of key technologies of new energy vehicles . The Chery cooperation in technology and materials, BenQ will be auto-film lithium battery isolation as the main product, the product layout and further extended to other new energy materials, membrane materials and automotive markets.
The two sides will play their respective advantages, set up a joint venture Da Nite Materials Science and Technology (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. in high-tech Industrial Development Zone in Wuhu. They plan to expand laboratory and experimental lines from the deployment, beginning factory plans in 2011. They will input an investment of 160 million yuan first and in 2012 to enter mass production stage trial locally, the annual sales income of 2.5 100 000 000 -3 100 million yuan.
